Sundance High School is located in Sundance, Wyoming which is nestled in the beautiful Black Hills of North East Wyoming. With a total population of 1100 people in the town and an enrollment of 115 in High School, the music department has the reputation of producing top quality performing groups year after year.

Between the JH and HS vocal and instrumental areas, there are a total of ten performing groups. Those groups are: JH Concert Band, Concert Choir, Jazz Band and Show Choir, HS Concert Band, Concert Choir, Jazz Band, Jazz Choir, Jazz Combo and Show Choir.

The JH and HS Band members are busy preparing for Pep Band, Marching Band, All-State and All Northwest auditions. The choir students are also working on All-State and All-Northwest audition music as well audition music for Jazz Choir and Show Choir.

There are fifty two students in HS Band, forty in JH Band, forty in HS Choir and thirty five in JH Choir. The talent level is very high in the JH so the future looks very bright!

The big events to in the beginning of the year are Band Days at UW, Homecoming and NE Distirct Honor Band and Choirs Clinics. We are all looking forward to a great year!

The Sundance HS Concert Band received superior ratings from two of three judges at NE District HS Festival held in Sundance last April. The Band then performed the same three songs at a National Festival in Orlando Florida in early May and recieved an Excellent rating and the first place trophy. Memories were made that will last a lifetime for all!
